About Me
After growing up on Vancouver Island, and taking the Ferries between Horseshoe Bay and Nanaimo on a regular basis, made me fascinated with the BC Ferry system. But I have only been taking photographs of different Ferries for the Past year. I'm also a part of the Ferries of British Columbia Forum (see link in links section), where we have discussions on the Ferries. At least once a month, some of the members get together, and take some sort of Ferry trip. Sometimes it's only for a roundtrip, or we'll combine a series of different routes in one day.

January 5th, 2008M/V Nantucket
The M/V Nantucket is another vessel from the Massachuesetts Steamship Authority Ferries Fleet. She was considered "State-of-the-art" back in her time, when she was built in 1974. That's because she was the first Diesel run ship of the fleet, as they were changing over from Steam power. She's named after Nantucket Island, and has served on both the Hyannis to Nantucket, and Woods Hole to Marthas Vineyard route many times over the years. Currently she's undergoing an MLU, for new interior, and a whole new entire wheelhouse. She'll be back up and running in April 2008.
